Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of CAD technologies, design methodologies, and automation solutions for advanced semiconductor technologies.
  • Architect and implement advanced automated reasoning frameworks using AI, constraint programming, SAT solving, mathematical optimization, integer programming, and metaheuristics.
  • Provide technical mentorship, guide architectural decisions, and influence roadmaps across teams.
  • Drive adoption of innovative methodologies to improve productivity, quality, and scalability across the design ecosystem.
  • Identify emerging opportunities and translate research concepts into production-quality solutions.
  • Collaborate across geographically distributed teams.
  • Translate complex EDA, semiconductor, or engineering optimization requirements into scalable algorithmic and software solutions.
  • Mentor and develop engineers, raising the technical bar through coaching, design reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

  • Recognized technical expertise in automated reasoning, AI optimization, constraint solving, operations research, or related computational methods.
  • Deep expertise in graph theory, combinatorial optimization, advanced data structures, and algorithmic design.
  • Proven ability to architect, innovate, and drive the development of next-generation constraint reasoning and optimization frameworks.
  • Demonstrated leadership in designing and delivering high-performance, production-grade software systems.
  • Expert-level programming skills in Python.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives across organizational boundaries.
  • Strong ability to translate complex electronic design automation (EDA), semiconductor, or engineering optimization requirements into scalable algorithmic and software solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of a master’s degree in computer science, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees (PhD) preferred.
  • Relevant research contributions, publications, patents, or industry-recognized innovations are highly valued.
  • Experience with data science approaches and data visualisation tools for large-scale problems is a plus.
  • Experience on C/C++ object-oriented programming, and/or experience in Synthesis or Physical Design Flows, CAD tool development is a plus.
