Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory tests in accordance with IEC/EN 60335-1 and relevant Part 2 standards for washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers.
  • Analyze test results, identify technical issues, and propose corrective action.
  • Prepare accurate and well-structured technical reports.
  • Collaborate with design teams and other departments to ensure product compliance.
  • Manage and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with internal procedures.
  • Support internal and external compliance audits.
  • Monitor updates and changes to applicable safety standards and requirements.
  • Interface with Notified Bodies for testing activities, technical clarifications, regulatory alignment, and certification progress.
  • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of the technical data package (technical documentation, compliance dossier, test evidence).
  • Conduct Product Safety Risk Assessment (PSRA).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3+ years relevant experience in R&D Laboratory, preferably from the appliances industry or 3rd party lab test service.
  • Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of IEC/EN 60335-1 and specific standards for washing machines, tumble dryers, and dishwashers.
  • Proficiency with electrical measurement tools and laboratory test equipment.
  • Knowledge of Electrical and Electronic components.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
  • Understanding of Quality Management in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Familiarity with Product Authority approval/certification processes.
