Responsibilities
- Perform laboratory tests in accordance with IEC/EN 60335-1 and relevant Part 2 standards for washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers.
- Analyze test results, identify technical issues, and propose corrective action.
- Prepare accurate and well-structured technical reports.
- Collaborate with design teams and other departments to ensure product compliance.
- Manage and maintain laboratory equipment in accordance with internal procedures.
- Support internal and external compliance audits.
- Monitor updates and changes to applicable safety standards and requirements.
- Interface with Notified Bodies for testing activities, technical clarifications, regulatory alignment, and certification progress.
- Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of the technical data package (technical documentation, compliance dossier, test evidence).
- Conduct Product Safety Risk Assessment (PSRA).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering.
- 3+ years relevant experience in R&D Laboratory, preferably from the appliances industry or 3rd party lab test service.
- Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of IEC/EN 60335-1 and specific standards for washing machines, tumble dryers, and dishwashers.
- Proficiency with electrical measurement tools and laboratory test equipment.
- Knowledge of Electrical and Electronic components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics.
- Understanding of Quality Management in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025.
- Familiarity with Product Authority approval/certification processes.
