Compliance Engineer / Senior R&D Engineer for SST

Responsibilities
- Lead compliance and certification activities for SST product development, from design through validation to final certification phases.
- Ensure adherence to relevant application standards and directives (e.g., UL, IEC, REACH, RoHS).
- Perform risk assessments, define type tests, and communicate with standardization bodies.
- Interact with suppliers and conduct factory audits.
- Support design and testing activities for compliance.
- Lead SST compliance and certification plans, interacting with certification bodies, laboratories, and project teams.
- Manage and maintain SST product compliance and certification documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
- Contribute to the development of Power Electronics Technologies Expertise and Know-How within the R&D team, focusing on robust design for reliability and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering (electrical, mechatronics, etc.).
- Experience in compliance and certification of Power Electronics products.
- Solid background knowledge and expertise in compliance and certification activities: standards analysis and interpretation, definition of test plans and specifications, test execution, interaction with certification bodies, certification documentation management.
- High interest and focus on practical verification and validation in MV lab environment.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with MV Power Electronics products is advantageous.
- Expertise in compliance areas such as electrical safety, functional safety, is an advantage.
- Interest in applied research and product development.
- Self-organized, motivated person who likes to work in a highly qualified research and development team.
- German language skills are a plus.
- Availability to travel sporadically.
