Qualcomm is looking for a Compiler Software Engineer to contribute to the design and enhancement of compiler toolchains for mobile and compute products. This role involves working with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize code for various processor architectures, ensuring high energy efficiency and performance.

Responsibilities

Applies knowledge of software development, processor architecture, debugging, and systems concepts to enhance application domains for mobile and compute products.
Incorporates features into programming tools to help software developers implement, debug, and optimize code for programmable cores.
Assists in the design and development of industry-standard tools like debuggers, linkers, profilers, converters, and optimizers.
Assists in building bit-exact functional or timing-accurate simulators for off-target execution.
Provides support for synthesizing and running benchmarks for different applications.
Assists in designing the compiler toolchain (e.g., LLVM, GCC, MLIR, Halide, TVM) for compilation onto hardware architecture.
Applies mathematical techniques for programming languages, algorithms, and optimization for performance and power efficiency.
Assists in applying Intermediate Representation of programs to expose optimization opportunities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with compiler or tools.

Desired Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
