Atlas Copco is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their Power Technique IT organization in Brno, Czech Republic. This hybrid role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing secure, scalable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure aligned with business objectives.
  • Act as a trusted partner to business teams, translating requirements into efficient cloud architectures.
  • Ensure operational excellence through proactive monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement.
  • Optimize performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of cloud environments.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD practices for consistent, repeatable deployments.
  • Enforce security, compliance, and governance standards across all cloud solutions.
  • Ensure high service availability by proactively identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate across teams to drive innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous enhancement of cloud services.
  • Support preventive measures to reduce recurring incidents and bottlenecks.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with internal standards and industry regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or similar or equivalent through relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years proven experience as a Cloud Engineer with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure services (PAAS & IAAS).
  • Strong work experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates).
  • Strong experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
  • Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • Cloud networking knowledge and practical experiences (VNets, VPN, ExpressRoute, firewalls, DNS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Structured, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset.
  • Customer-oriented approach.
  • Residing within Czechia.
