Responsibilities
- Manage supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Ensure suppliers deliver parts on time and in the correct quantities, addressing any compliance issues.
- Approve expediting of parts to prevent stock shortages and backorders.
- Develop and train suppliers on Electrolux's purchase order processes and requirements.
- Define clear escalation paths with key suppliers for swift issue resolution.
- Drive initiatives for parts and supplier rationalization to reduce complexity.
- Lead cost-out projects and negotiate Incoterms with suppliers.
- Ensure supplier compliance with Electrolux's packaging standards.
- Maximize buying efficiency while minimizing supply disruption and financial risks.
- Partner with various internal teams (commodity, product line, sales, engineering) to achieve best-in-class quality, delivery, and cost.
- Analyze supplier performance metrics and implement improvement plans.
- Manage multiple projects, resolve problems, and meet deadlines.
- Collect, analyze, and summarize data and trends for category monitoring and improvement.
- Manage and negotiate requests for quotation, ensuring competitiveness.
- Communicate effectively with external suppliers and internal resources.
- Enforce Electrolux policies and practices with suppliers and internal resources.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Business or Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing, sourcing, category management with an international/global exposure preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of the purchasing environment for the commodities managed.
- Demonstrated success in year-over-year material cost reduction projects.
- Strong knowledge of the strategic sourcing methodology and its application.
- Strong analytical, financial and business acumen to include should-cost modeling.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings of component parts.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage strategic supplier relationships.
- Expertise in supplier processes and cost drivers.
- Ability to manage projects and establish clear goals and accountabilities.
- Experience in project leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Understanding of cross-border shipment laws, tariffs, taxation and time frames.
- Familiarity with supply chain and material flow (lead-times, tier-2 vendors, etc).
