Qualcomm is seeking an experienced Camera ISP Algorithm Engineer to research, design, develop, and verify complex camera systems and algorithms. This role involves working with AI, computer vision, and imaging technologies across various product spaces, requiring strong programming and image signal processing skills.
Responsibilities
- Research, design, develop, verify, debug, implement, and validate highly complex camera systems, HW or FW tasks (including Camera Image Signal Processor, 3A, Image Quality, Features, and Tuning Tools), algorithms, features, logic design, modeling, design verification, and power optimization.
- Perform architecture, IQ modules, algorithm, and feature decomposition to drive highly complex requirements and specifications for hardware development.
- Ensure advanced image quality, system performance, and critical ISP area and power metrics are met.
- Translate customer needs and requirements into concrete tasks and plans.
- Facilitate collaboration across organizations to design, develop, and optimize camera systems, hardware, and/or software.
- Write detailed technical documentation and feature descriptions for highly complex Camera projects to guide users and/or customers to implement output; review technical documentation for junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
- OR Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
- OR PhD in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience.
- 6+ years of experience in programming (e.g., C, C++, Python), computer architecture, or embedded systems.
- 4+ years of experience in Image Signal Processing design, development, implementation, and verification.
- 2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Direct level and above).
- 2+ years of experience in camera hardware or systems design and optimization.
- 1+ year in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
