Responsibilities
- Lead purchasing activities within your scope, working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maximize customer satisfaction and business value.
- Be accountable for supplier QDCF performance across your segments.
- Drive negotiations, cost optimization, ordering, logistics coordination, and financial flows.
- Ensure the segment strategy is continuously updated and effectively implemented.
- Select the right suppliers and challenge supplier QDCF performance.
- Utilize Volvo Group purchasing tools and cross-functional networks.
Requirements
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Solid experience in purchasing, supplier relationship management, and complex negotiations.
- Experience within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven knowledge of electrical components such as power distribution, connectors, and specialty cables is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders, lead fact-based negotiations, and secure business decisions.
- Strong business acumen, cost optimization mindset, and agility in way of working.
- Positive attitude, service-minded, and target-oriented approach.
- Desire to work in a collaborative team towards a common purpose.
- Strong team player with the ability to lead, take ownership, and operate with autonomy.
- Ability to be open-minded, encourage collaboration, and add value with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Motivated by change management and ability to drive change.
- University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent working experience.
- Multicultural experience.
- Willingness to travel occasionally.
