Amazon's Buyer Risk Prevention (BRP) team is looking for a Business Analyst to analyze terabytes of data to identify risks and customer friction, and develop scalable prevention solutions. The role involves designing dashboards, executing projects, and making recommendations for new controls and improved monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze terabytes of data to identify specific instances of risk, broader risk trends, and points of customer friction.
  • Develop scalable solutions for prevention of account takeovers (ATOs) and creation of bad actor accounts (BAAs).
  • Build a robust set of operational and business metrics and use them to determine improvement opportunities.
  • Design and develop highly available dashboards and metrics using Tableau, Excel, and SQL.
  • Provide wing-to-wing project lifecycle execution, including project planning, execution, risk assessment, and system availability.
  • Execute high priority projects to improve operations performance with the help of Operations Analytics managers.
  • Perform business analysis and data queries.
  • Execute analytical projects and understand analytical methods like ANOVA, Distribution theory, and regression.
  • Identify new patterns of abuse and make recommendations for new controls and improved monitoring.
  • Develop and oversee the initiation of strategy recommendations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of business analyst, data analyst, or similar role experience.
  • 5+ years of business or financial analysis experience.
  • 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience.
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights.
  • Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders.
  • Experience with SQL.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience partnering with executive-level leaders to identifying and solving business issues.
