Responsibilities

  • Assist with repairs using Volvo Standard Times and Special Tools.
  • Participate in the fault diagnosis process.
  • Learn and comply with warranty procedures.
  • Work with the parts team to ensure correct parts are fitted.
  • Learn to use Volvo special tools safely and efficiently.
  • Assist with workshop cleaning.
  • Ensure company time recording procedures are followed and job cards are completed accurately.
  • Report all vehicle defects to the workshop supervisor.
  • Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when required.
  • Attend college courses regularly and achieve required standards.
  • Attend any technical or development training made available.
  • Repair, service, MOT and maintain modern trucks, buses and coaches, including hybrid technology.

Requirements

  • Enthusiastic individuals with a strong interest in heavy vehicles.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and a desire to learn.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a team player mentality.
  • Desired qualifications: GCSE A* to C/Grade 4 in Math and English.
