We are looking for an Application Engineer to join our world-class AE team responsible for driving adoption of our industry-leading physical verification solution. You will provide technical and engineering insight and direction to improving usability, applicability, and adoption of implementation products, platforms, and solutions to meet the customer business needs. This role requires a BS/MS in EE, ECE, CS, CE or related discipline with 5+ years of experience, hands-on experience with Physical Verification & usage of tools like ICV, Calibre etc.
Responsibilities
- Use in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise and support for our top customers.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues on customer designs.
- Work directly with Research and Development (R&D) to develop and implement our technical roadmap, specifications, and validation for improvements and enhancements.
- Partner with customers and Sales to identify business challenges, develop effective technical solutions, and increase utilization and retention of products on current accounts.
Requirements
- BS/MS EE, ECE, CS, CE or related discipline and 5+ years of experience.
- Hands-on experience with Physical Verification & usage of tools like ICV, Calibre etc
- Experience with advanced technology nodes.
- Experience with signoff and physical design methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a passion for world-class customer service.
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to explain a complex runset issue to a customer design lead.
- Ability to stay calm and focused when a customer escalation lands in your inbox and know how to triage, prioritize, and resolve it.
- Comfortable pushing back on R&D when a proposed feature does not match what customers actually need, and do it with data.
- Ability to think about the customer's workflow, not just the tool in isolation, and see where the friction points are before they become blockers.
- Ability to present technical content to a room of engineers or to a VP of Engineering and adjust your message without losing clarity.
- Organized enough to manage multiple customer engagements, internal projects, and R&D collaborations without dropping threads.
