Synopsys is seeking a Staff Engineer DFT for their Applications Engineering team in Israel. This role involves providing expertise in test solutions, implementing DFT techniques, generating ATPG patterns, and supporting customer integration. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Electrical or Computer Engineering with significant experience in digital IC design and DFT methodologies.

Responsibilities

Provide expertise for test solutions during design planning, budgeting, and implementation.
Conduct test methodology design rules checking during RTL coding stages.
Implement and validate DFT techniques such as scan compression, core wrapping, and logic & memory Built-In Self-Test (BIST).
Generate and validate Automatic Test Pattern Generation (ATPG) patterns, including advanced fault models.
Participate in customer design and flow reviews to ensure seamless integration.
Analyze and debug diagnostics to resolve technical issues efficiently.
Support tape-out readiness by delivering high-quality test logic and test patterns.

Requirements

BSc with 7+ years/MSc with 5+ years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other relevant fields of study.
Experience with RTL coding, DFT insertion, scan synthesis, ATPG, and MBIST architecture planning.
Excellent knowledge in pattern generation and silicon bring-up processes.
Strong understanding of protocols like 1149.x, 1500 ad 1687.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze and debug complex issues.
