Lead the division-wide adoption of AI-assisted and agentic engineering across all software delivery teams. This people-centric role requires building credibility as an engineer and fostering a culture of change through community building, training, and hands-on prototyping. The goal is to make AI-assisted work the standard way of working for developers, product owners, business analysts, and testers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the division-wide adoption of AI-assisted and agentic engineering.
- Foster an AI community of practice through demos, showcases, hackathons, and lunch sessions.
- Develop use cases in the language of product owners, business analysts, test engineers, designers, and support staff.
- Build prototypes, demos, and reference implementations to demonstrate AI capabilities.
- Encourage teams to create and share their own AI skills, agent files, prompts, and starter packs.
- Design and deliver training (online/classroom) and coach individuals and teams.
- Define and roll out standards and governance for AI-assisted work, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and data policies.
- Establish a measurement framework to track adoption, productivity, quality, and ROI.
- Track the AI tooling landscape, evaluate tools, and manage investments in tooling, hardware, and models.
Requirements
- A track record of changing how other people work without formal authority.
- Ability to explain agentic working to diverse technical and non-technical audiences.
- At least 5 years of production-level software development and delivery experience.
- Hands-on experience with multiple stacks (e.g., .NET, Python, Matlab, Flutter, data, embedded).
- Demonstrated practical use of AI coding/agentic tools (Copilot, Claude, Codex, or equivalent).
- Understanding of AI agent cost models and security impacts.
- Familiarity with the full SDLC and governance, security, and compliance considerations.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Databricks, Azure, Flutter, Matlab, or embedded/firmware environments.
- Exposure to ML/agent workflows and evaluating models and tooling.
- Experience creating engaging training materials such as internal talks, workshops, written guides, or short videos.
