Please Note:  This is a 2nd shift position, 4:00PM-Midnight, Monday-Friday

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Maintain a strong safety culture and safe work environment. Demonstrate positive safety behaviors and attitude. Responsible for completing safety audits, daily safety start-ups, inspections, and generating ideas to improve safety.
  • Plan and direct daily work activities to lead team resources to meet daily goals.
  • Maintain employee qualifications, identify training gaps and additional qualifications needed.
  • Monitor and take steps to improve inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies.  Ensure parts are stored in the stockroom in a safe, organized, and protected fashion.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to reduce non-conformances, improve cost, and reduce manufacturing process time.
  • Improve employee performance through formal and informal performance reviews, job training, cross-training, and the sharing of ideas to improve department performance.
  • Provide support for proper completion and documentation of assembly processing requirements, ValveLink and Flowscan testing and diagnostics.
  • Support the development and implementation of industry best practices in areas such as 5S+1, TPM, Kaizen events, and implement cost reductions to improve performance.
  • Maintain department records such as hours worked, overtime hours, cross-training, productivity, quality, etc. Consistently administer the labor agreement and lead efforts to improve performance.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing, showcasing expertise in production processes and operational efficiency.
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Strong leadership skills; including being disciplined, assertive, and having a high energy level to meet safety and department performance goals
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States – sponsorship will not be provided for this position

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • A technology-based Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience in a leadership role, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to understand, apply and train adherence to strict processing and documentation requirements.
  • Familiarity with Nuclear Codes & Regulations, Commercial Grade Dedication, Nuclear Qualification requirements, and Standards related to Nuclear, Oxygen Cleanliness and Cryogenic assembly and testing processes.
  • Ability to teach skills and proven track record to drive process improvement
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Solid digital literacy including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) as well as MS Outlook
