This full-time, remote Field Service Technician role based in Richmond, VA, involves 24/7 on-call support for troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment, primarily separators, decanters, and heat exchangers. Responsibilities include installations, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, and providing training to customer personnel.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipment on Separators, Decanters and Heat exchangers.
- Install, startup and shut down equipment in accordance with company and customer safety procedures.
- Perform trial test runs to ensure performance rates and quality meet established specifications.
- Document services provided and parts used for invoicing purposes.
- Advise operators and customer line mechanics/maintenance personnel on safe operating procedures.
- Perform preventive maintenance service calls on customer equipment.
- Assist customer maintenance personnel with technical and procedural troubleshooting.
- Train customer maintenance and supervisory personnel on equipment operation and maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Associates degree
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- General knowledge of Separators and Decanters
- General knowledge of PLCs or processors
- General knowledge of Mechanical, electrical or technology
- Teamwork skills
