In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Evaluate supplier performance, communicate results, develop, and implement strategies and tactics for improvement
Prepare Purchase Orders and Request for Quotes, solicit bid proposals and review requisitions for goods and services
Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier’s reputation and history
Assist material flow from suppliers through Reschedule Ins, Reschedule Outs, expedites, cancellations, issuance of purchase orders, purchase order releases and requisitions
Resolve Contract/Purchase Order, payment, and quality problems with suppliers
Provide commodity forecast data to suppliers; establish appropriate order lot size and packaging quantities to achieve optimum material flow and inventory objectives
Resolve delivery/receiving problems to ensure shipments arrive timely and resolve issues related to undelivered goods
Collaborate cross-functionally on forecasts, NPD projects, reporting, and process improvements
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience within a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent experience of manufacturing or operations related history
- Understanding of inventory control practices, material planning, and production scheduling concepts
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or related field
- Experience working with an ERP system, preferably Oracle
- Prior experience supporting oil & gas equipment or related industry products
