Seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead assembly operations for valves and pressure switches. Responsibilities include overseeing production, testing, safety, quality, and employee development. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the production and test of all valves, pressure switch, and sub-assemblies assigned.
  • Read and interpret all procedures and explain during training exercises.
  • Understand Company Policy using ASCO’s handbook and provide guidance in corrective action and discipline.
  • Maintain production schedules and customer service for all products manufactured.
  • Coordinate operation of Assembly bays and maintain on-time service.
  • Maintain inventory and inventory accuracy on the production floor POU components.
  • Coordinate Assembly Engineering department.
  • Recommend and implement projects, improvements, and long-range planning.
  • Hold communications meetings with employees.
  • Obey all safety rules and report safety concerns immediately.
  • Provide training and assistance to all assigned personnel.
  • Support equipment checklist as it pertains to safety and performance.
  • Identify worn tooling and fixturing, suggest equipment improvements.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.
  • Accomplish work assignments from beginning to end with no supervision.
  • Create short- and long-term improvement plans.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in an Engineering field preferred or a related field of study.
  • Five years’ experience in a manufacturing or technical service environment.
  • Minimum one-year budget experience or demonstrated ability to learn and manage these responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate (verbal/written) effectively with customers, suppliers and employees (e.g., NCMR’s, ECN’s and ECR’s).
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cooperative and team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent familiarity with general Assembly operations for both Navy/Nuclear and Commercial Valve assembly.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Oracle and Kronos
  • 5 years minimum managerial experience
