Sandvik Mining is looking for a Workshop Technician in Orange, NSW, to perform mechanical and auto electrical duties on heavy mining equipment. Responsibilities

  • Conduct general mechanical and auto electrical duties, including maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
  • Execute mechanical and auto electrical maintenance tasks according to maintenance plans, ensuring the integrity and safe operation of the equipment.
  • Provide feedback to enhance maintenance planning and efficiency.
  • Maintain meticulous records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time logs.
  • Adhere strictly to all policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on EHS policies.

Requirements

  • Based near Orange, NSW.
  • Australian recognized Mechanical or Auto Electrical Trade Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience with trucks, loaders, and drilling mobile mining equipment (advantageous).
  • Strong and proven safety culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Motivation and determination to achieve targets and goals.
  • Proactive, self-motivated attitude.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Class C Manual Driver’s License.
  • Right to live and work in Australia.
  • Ability to complete a pre-employment medical.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Underground (UG) Loaders, UG Trucks, UG Drills and Surface Drill repairs.
