Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day workshop operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and high-standard work completion.
- Coordinate technicians, monitor workflow, and maximize workshop productivity.
- Plan and control daily workshop activities and allocate work effectively to technicians.
- Monitor repair progress, ensuring timely completion of jobs.
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
- Liaise with customers, service advisors, and parts departments for smooth operations.
- Support technicians with technical guidance and problem-solving.
- Monitor workshop performance, productivity, and efficiency.
- Ensure all repairs comply with Volvo Truck & Bus standards and manufacturer guidelines.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Technician, or Workshop Supervisor in the commercial vehicle industry.
- Strong knowledge of Volvo Truck & Bus products is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Computer literacy and experience with workshop management systems.
- Full driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential).
Desired Qualifications
- Flexibility required for working hours beyond Monday to Friday/0800hrs to 1630hrs.
