In short
Qualcomm is looking for a Design Verification Engineer with 3-6 years of experience to verify high-speed interface controllers, focusing on USB protocols. Responsibilities include developing test plans, building UVM environments, and analyzing functional coverage.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans for USB controller IPs (USB3.2 Gen 2x2, eUSB2V2, USB 2.0).
- Build and maintain UVM-based verification environments for block and system-level DV.
- Perform functional coverage analysis, debug failures, and drive closure of verification metrics.
- Collaborate with architecture, design, and firmware teams to ensure comprehensive verification.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering.
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in digital design verification, preferably in USB or high-speed serial interfaces.
- Strong expertise in SystemVerilog, UVM, and scripting languages (Python, Perl, TCL).
- Experience with simulation tools (VCS, Questa, Incisive) and debugging tools (Verdi, DVE).
- Familiarity with USB protocols, including USB3.x, USB2.0, and Type-C.
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to Synopsys VIPs/IP integration and Qualcomm DV flows is a plus.
- Knowledge of low-power verification, clock domain crossing, and assertion-based verification.
- Experience with formal verification and coverage-driven methodologies.
- Strong analytical and communication skills with a proactive attitude.
