As a Unit Business Risk & Compliance Leader in Burlington, Ontario, you will promote risk management and compliance, ensuring a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers. Responsibilities

  • Promote risk management and a risk-aware culture within the unit.
  • Develop and implement systems to detect, analyze, and reduce business loss and financial impact.
  • Ensure implementation of Ingka Rules and local legislation for a healthy, safe, and secure environment.
  • Conduct internal investigations and analyze unit processes to ensure compliance.
  • Coordinate the Unit Crisis Management Team for emergency cases and ensure adherence to response rules.
  • Act as the single point of contact for authorities on Risk & Compliance matters.
  • Coordinate external vendors for proactive risk mitigation.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Security, Risk Management, Health & Safety, or related field.
  • Proven track record of creating and maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant work environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience, leading teams and influencing stakeholders.
  • Extensive knowledge of health, safety, and security legislation, compliance requirements, and risk management practices.
  • Ability to assess risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, and change management skills.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience identifying root causes and driving continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage emergencies and confidential matters.
  • Ability to balance strategic business needs with operational security and safety priorities.

Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to translate KPIs and goals into actionable plans.
  • Experience operating risk and compliance verifications within the matrix framework.
  • Ability to plan for and facilitate necessary trainings for co-workers and external partners.
  • Experience ensuring Crisis Management trainings and ways of working are in place.
  • Experience coordinating external vendors and vendor management.
