Qualcomm China is seeking a System Power Test Engineer in Shanghai to execute, characterize, analyze, and optimize mobile power for multimedia use cases, focusing on Camera and Video workloads. The role involves deep system understanding, supporting product testing, identifying issues, optimizing procedures, and collaborating with development teams to balance power and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for mobile power test execution, characterization, analysis and optimization of multimedia use cases, with a primary focus on Camera and Video workloads.
  • In this position, the technical area will involve the whole system including CPU, ISP, NPU, DDR, VPU, DPU, PMIC and so on.
  • Support product test and provide reliable test data and report across different functional teams.
  • Perform power breakdown for Camera cases and other user scenarios and capture related logs to analyze the system behavior.
  • Identify the platform issues and provide analysis to identify the root cause based on available logs.
  • Support internal feature development testing and involve feature design and design corresponding use cases.
  • Optimize test procedure, develop test case, extend the test check point and debugging method to find more platform issues.
  • Support customer reported issue and related feature development testing, co-work with Dev team to tuning best parameter to balance power and performance.
  • Master power related knowledge and identify potential power optimization via testing.

Requirements

  • 1 to 10 years of system testing or software development experience in Power/Performance/Camera/CoreBSP or other related areas.
  • Good understanding of system power or performance, related test and development experience is a plus.
  • Good Knowledge in Camera/ISP, CPU, DDR, Embedded system, Kernel, Linux/Android framework.
  • Have Android related system testing and debugging skills, familiar with Android/Linux commands and logging methods.
  • Good at communicating and collaborating across teams, good initiative capacity is a plus.
  • Familiar with hardware and PMIC is a plus.
  • Good communication skills both in Chinese and English.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
