Saab UK is seeking a Stores Operative for its underwater robotics business in Fareham. This full-time, on-site role involves receiving and processing stock, picking and packing orders, organizing inventory, and maintaining a safe and clean stores environment. Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials accurately and efficiently.
- Scan goods receipt documentation and resolve booking in issues.
- Locate stock into correct locations, ensuring safe storage and stock rotation.
- Label and pack stock appropriately to prevent contamination or damage.
- Pick work orders and sales orders with high accuracy based on picking lists.
- Perform general physical activities in the stores area, including loading and unloading.
- Follow manual handling guidelines and use appropriate lifting equipment.
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe yard and stores area.
- Support waste collection processing.
- Respond to inquiries with urgency.
- Process online stores requisitions accurately and timely.
- Process daily KPIs and update product/part details like new locations.
- Maintain stores-related equipment and report malfunctions.
- Maintain high stock accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Pack and label systems and sales orders for courier collections.
- Order crates and packing materials to meet deadlines.
- Undertake any other appropriate duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous Warehouse or Stores experience desired.
- Previous experience of working at height is required.
- Previous Experience with ERP Systems.
- Experience with forklifts desirable.
- Enthusiastic and hardworking.
- Willing to learn quickly.
