ASSA ABLOY is looking for a Specification Writer to collaborate with architectural firms and create technical door and hardware specification documents. Responsibilities

Prepare technical door and hardware specification documents.
Act as a trusted resource to design professionals on door opening applications.
Create, engineer, and produce door and hardware specifications for commercial building applications.
Recommend door and hardware solutions meeting design requirements for security, aesthetics, sustainability, and accessibility.
Design electrified access control product and software systems for door openings.
Work with Architectural Sales Representatives to foster positive customer experiences and deliver project deliverables on time.
Assist with project submittal reviews and substitution approval processes.
Utilize Salesforce.com for customer relationship, project tracking, and time management.

Desired Qualifications

College/University degree (preference for specialization in architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or similar), or work experience commensurate with minimum high school/GED diploma.
Minimum of 2 – 3 years of industry-related experience with openings as a commercial locksmith, door frames/hardware installer, contractor’s license for installation, or CHD project manager with school, healthcare, or institutional facilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus.
