Are you an experienced procurement professional looking to shape resilient supply chains for offshore projects? Vattenfall is seeking a Sourcing Manager Offshore Logistics & Foundations to lead end-to-end procurement, develop sourcing strategies, and negotiate key contracts. This role involves working with a global supplier network to support the transition to sustainable energy.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the entire procurement process for assigned categories and projects, from strategy development to contract delivery.
- Act as the single point of contact and chief negotiator with suppliers, gathering input from all relevant stakeholders.
- Develop, tailor, and oversee procurement strategies, contracts, PQQ and ITT materials to meet project-specific needs.
- Steer and guide core tender teams, ensuring compliance, transparency, and fair competition throughout supplier selection until contract finalization.
- Drive stakeholder management, aligning procurement decisions with category strategies and business protocols for mutual benefit.
- Promote and implement best-in-class procurement practices, advancing supply chain development within designated categories.
Requirements
- Relevant University degree or equal.
- Approximately 5 years of experience working on high value CAPEX procurement projects, preferably in large industrial renewables projects, oil and gas, or similar complex industries.
- Alternatively, a background within operational offshore execution or shipping industry combined with relevant procurement or commercial related education and experience.
- Significant experience in driving business with large spend suppliers in an international environment.
- Ability to work in autonomy and take the initiative, while encouraging team work.
- Good negotiation experience on a range of Installation vessel supplier contracts or standard forms of contract (FIDIC, LOGIC, BIMCO, etc.).
- Strong command of English, both verbally and written.
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge and understanding of wind projects FIDIC contracts would be a distinct advantage.
- Knowledge of project management processes and experience of driving change towards lean processes and ensures adoption and improvement of defined standards.
- Interest in and experience with supporting and mentor junior roles or newcomers to procurement.
- EU tender experience and expertise would be advantageous.
