Ericsson is seeking an experienced Solution Architect in Islamabad, Pakistan, specializing in Packet Core, Policy, and signalling domains. The role involves analyzing, designing, and developing end-to-end technical solutions for customers, ensuring commercial viability and efficient delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Perform solution setup, analysis, and design for Packet Core, Policy, and signalling solutions.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in PCC, PCG, Policy Controller, and Signalling Controller.
  • Define solution scope for Packet Core, Policy, Signalling, and 5G Core offerings.
  • Analyze customer technology, define business requirements, and participate in risk analysis.
  • Develop technical presentations and proposals, and conduct customer presentations.
  • Lead deployment and integration activities during project delivery.
  • Provide feedback to R&D teams.
  • Participate in knowledge transfer, documentation, and information sharing.
  • Understand cloud-native architecture, microservices, API ecosystems, automation, and CI/CD.
  • Stay abreast of new technologies and share insights.

Requirements

  • BSc in Computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in the telecom industry in a similar role.
  • Domain expertise in AMF, SMF, GW-C, UPF, GW-U, NRF, NSSF, PCRF, PCF, SCP, BSF, SEPP, DSC-DA/DRA/DEA.
  • Deep understanding of 5G Core Cloud-Native Applications, Cloud Infrastructure, and IP Networks.
  • Experience working as a system integrator and delivering multiple projects for key customers.
  • Knowledge of Ericsson Packet Core, Policy, and signalling Solutions and Portfolio.
  • Experience with OpenStack, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Experience in scripting (Shell, Python).
  • Strong understanding of routing and network security.

Desired Qualifications

  • Certifications in networking, cloud, Kubernetes, or Linux administration are a plus.
  • Knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, F5, and Fortinet is a plus.
