Qualcomm is looking for a skilled Software Engineer with full-stack expertise in Python and C# to join their Windows on Snapdragon product team in Tijuana, Mexico. This role involves end-to-end development, including gathering requirements, designing improvements to build systems, and supporting the software release process within an Agile Scrum environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key member of an Agile Scrum Team playing a pivotal role in the end-to-end lifecycle of Windows-on-Snapdragon product lines.
  • Gather requirements, design, and develop improvements to the Windows-on-Snapdragon continuous integration build systems, software release process, and developer operations tools.
  • Coordinate with internal and external teams to bring up, support, triage, and unblock issues on Qualcomm chipsets.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web applications using Python and C#.
  • Implement front-end interfaces using ASP.net, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Design and maintain SQL databases, write efficient SQL queries, and optimize database performance.
  • Develop and maintain scripts using PowerShell, CMD, and BAT for automation.
  • Work with embedded Windows software and utilize good programming skills.
  • Utilize strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Coordinate across stakeholders and drive towards task completion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Strong software development skills.
  • Highly skilled Full-Stack developer with expertise in Python and C#.
  • Strong background in both front-end and back-end development.
  • History of delivering high-quality software solutions.
  • Ability to lead and independently develop features and technical solutions.
  • Solid understanding and practical experience in version control (Git, Perforce).
  • Solid understanding of Operating System concepts.
  • Windows and/or Linux kernel and development experience.
  • Strong understanding of Python, C/C++/C#, SQL, Shell Scripting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to co-ordinate across stakeholders and drive towards task completion.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • C# and Python programming experience.
  • MS SQL Database experience.
  • Windows OS internals knowledge and experience.
  • Device driver programming and debugging with WinDbg, JTAG/other tools.
  • Processor architecture and cache subsystem.
  • Experience with PC software - System BIOS, UEFI, ACPI, Drivers, Applications.
  • Experience with Jenkins and Artifactory.
  • Experience with Windows driver development.
  • Proficiency in using Visual Studio as an integrated development environment.
  • ARM assembly.
  • Embedded OS (Kernel architecture, OS services heap, memory, multi-core, multi-threading, and crash debugging).
  • Knowledge of OS/system performance profiling and optimization techniques.
  • Communication, written & interpersonal skills, motivation, the ability to learn quickly.
