Responsibilities
- Analyze system architecture and define diagnostic solutions.
- Define system and software requirements.
- Design and implement test cases for quality assurance.
- Monitor test strategy execution across the organization.
- Ensure the core system meets quality, safety, and performance standards.
- Maintain diagnostic databases including DTCs and UDS services.
- Work with data collection as software components within IHU, DHU, and UXC.
- Deliver Product Capabilities for Core Systems in diagnostics, SWDL, measurement/logging, and communication.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of embedded software systems.
- Ability to understand diagnostic standards and regulations.
- Analytical skills to transform complex problems into clear designs and requirements.
- Experience with embedded systems.
- Experience with software and hardware design for embedded systems.
- Knowledge of diagnostics standards (ISO14229, SAE-J2012, SAE-1979).
- Experience with reliable diagnostic monitor design.
- Ability to define datapoints for backend analysis and/or predictive maintenance.
- Ability to define control routines for testing and workshop verification.
- Experience authoring software requirements according to ASPICE (SYS and SWE).
- Experience structuring, creating, and maintaining DTCs and related data.
- Experience configuring UDS services.
- Experience using test tools (e.g., CANalyzer, CANoe, Parallell Diag, DSA).
- Knowledge in automotive protocols like Ethernet, CAN, LIN, UDS, XCP.
- Hands-on testing and fault injection in vehicles and rigs.
- Software experience in reading code.
- Experience with HIL, Wireshark, Excel, Python, DLT viewer.
- Basic knowledge of UDS.
- Experience with Linux and/or WSL.
- Swedish driving license B.
- Good communication skills in English (speech and writing).
Desired Qualifications
- B.Sc or M.Sc degree in Software, Electrical Engineering or equivalent years of experience.
- Experience with AUTOSAR and POSIX environment.
- Experience with aftermarket usage of on-board diagnostics.
- Experience with emission related monitor design.
- Preferable knowledge of OBD.
- Volvo T2 license.
