The Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Support & Operations ensures timely resolution of escalations and incidents using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and Terraform in Azure environments. This role involves mentoring team members, validating change orders, engaging with customers, and conducting root cause analysis to drive operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Ensure on-time resolution and quality compliance of escalated incidents by utilizing IaC and Terraform within Azure environments, adhering to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Mentor team members and administrators in best practices for Azure IaaS, PaaS, and Kubernetes, while preparing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining comprehensive documentation for operational processes.
- Validate change order implementation plans and ensure human error compliance by applying best practices in Terraform configurations and Azure infrastructure management.
- Actively engage in customer meetings to address concerns and gather feedback, leveraging knowledge of Azure services to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Conduct root cause analysis and trend analysis to validate findings and provide insights through reports, facilitating informed decision-making for key business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and hands-on experience with Terraform.
- Proficient in Azure services including IaaS, PaaS, and Kubernetes.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause and trend analyses.
- Effective communication and presentation skills to liaise with business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with ITIL or similar frameworks for incident management and service delivery.
Desired Qualifications
- Certification in Azure Solutions Architect or Terraform Associate is optional but valuable.
- ITIL Foundation Certification is recommended.
