Responsibilities

  • Undertake Systems Engineering activities from Requirements through to Integration, Verification and Validation for semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
  • Work at the core of engineering and product development teams using Systems Engineering tools and methods.
  • Translate product vision into clear Requirements using Use Cases, Context Diagrams, and Architectures.
  • Use Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods to develop Functional, Logical, and Behavioural architectures.
  • Lead Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) activities across projects.
  • Collaborate effectively toward successful project milestones.
  • Support the development of robust IV&V plans for new products.
  • Verify and test designs against stated requirements and relevant standards through calculation, simulation, or physical testing.
  • Ensure efforts contribute to solution quality and cost targets within agreed timescales.
  • Accountable for the detailed documentation of verification and testing, maintaining traceability.
  • Report concisely to engineers, project managers, and the wider project team.

Requirements

  • More than 3 years of experience in Systems Engineering or Integration Verification and Validation in a relatable engineering industry.
  • Good levels of integrity with a results-driven mindset.
  • Able to hold self and others accountable.
  • Able to demonstrate some knowledge of best-practice verification and test, and engineering.
  • Understands technical deliverables and requirements.
  • A willing, helpful attitude, a calm professional manner, and the ability to assess priorities and deal with issues on a regular basis.
  • Displaying clear, rational, and analytical approach to problem solving and planning.
  • Able to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.

Desired Qualifications

  • Systems Engineering Degree Bachelors (minimum essential), Masters (desirable), or demonstrable equivalent.
  • Registered Incorporated Engineer, or working towards and committed to achieving registration with a recognised engineering institution (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Systems Engineering in accordance with INCOSE Manual v5 / ISO15288 ‘Systems and software engineering’ (desirable).
  • Understanding of working in a regulated, compliance-driven industry such as the semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry (desirable).
  • Understanding of product safety and compliance to applicable standards (desirable).
  • Experience with EN 61511; Safety and design review methods, e.g., PHA, HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA; Semiconductor industry standards – SEMI S2; Risk assessment – Semi S10 (desirable).
  • A practical understanding of semiconductor fabrications processes and equipment (desirable).
