Electrolux is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer in Bangkok, Thailand, to lead quality activities for OEM/ODM Cold Products. This role focuses on supplier qualification, performance management, new product introduction, and continuous improvement to enhance consumer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality activities for OEM/ODM Cold Products, including supplier qualification, performance management, new product introduction, and continuous improvement.
- Drive constant improvement of Product Quality by coordinating cross-functional activities to enhance consumer perceived quality.
- Co-work with Sourcing, PMO, region, market, R&D, PL team, and OEM/ODM suppliers for new product flawless launch.
- Focus on quality tasks in the Quality Plan, e.g., SCR estimation, PSRA, FMEA, QC plan to identify key processes with CTQs.
- Review and maintain PFMEA, QC plan during new product introduction.
- Standardize quality requirements in Manufacturing Acceptance process and verify products spec, quality agreements, FFF requirements during DVT/MVT builds.
- Act as the contact window between supplier and region field Quality to transmit information and follow up SCR reduction/DT elimination/CStaR.
- Perform monthly SCR/CStaR data analysis, continuous improvement, and regular meetings with suppliers.
- Organize regular quality reviews with Sector quality.
- Drive cross-function teams and suppliers to solve quality issues.
- Perform IPA in supplier production assembly lines to ensure supplier readiness for SOP with focus on Prevention, PFMEA, IPCP.
- Conduct OQC of finished products before dispatch to Electrolux warehouses.
- Perform Supplier GSQA quality system audits per the plan for each product line.
- Lead and drive OEM suppliers to meet company GSQA expectations vs. sourcing strategy.
- Lead and drive Supplier Quality improvements.
- Undertake other jobs assigned by Manager.
Requirements
- Experience in OEM/ODM quality management of major appliances products for NPI.
- Proven experience in supplier management within the European and American home appliance industry.
- Team leadership experience required.
- Ability to coordinate set goals and priorities for multiple project activities while keeping set timelines with good quality results.
- Operational experience in parts qualification flow, delivering good product launch as product release (OQC).
- Expertise of product manufacturing processes with in-process audit (IPA).
- Proficiency of QA tools and methodologies: 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 5S, PDCA.
- Knowledge of SCR (Service Call Rate)/ CStaR(Consumer Star Rating)/ Warranty cost for continuous improvement.
- Familiar with ISO9001 requirements and skillful in TS16949 quality tools usage.
- Knowledge of main international Standards (e.g., IEC60335).
- Personal computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- PowerBI is preferred.
- At least 5 years in relevant Quality and Operations experience.
- Hands-on supplier audit experience is required.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- ISO9001 auditor certification required.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Home Appliances is preferred.
- Experience in Food Preservation appliance or similar consumer durables or experience with Home Appliance manufacture/R&D area would be an advantage.
- Experience in customer quality is preferred.
- College degree is required; advanced degree preferred for new product introduction.
- TS16949 auditor and Quality Engineer Certificate are preferred.
- Chinese Mandarin/Thai – Basic listening and speaking skills.
- Willing to travel frequently within Thailand and occasionally AP region (e.g., India, Indonesia, Vietnam).
