Tetra Pak is looking for a Senior Process Engineer in Cuautitlan, Mexico, to design and implement process and application solutions for their customers. Responsibilities

  • Support Technical Sales and Commercial Project Teams, including issue resolution in cooperation with field service engineers and other stakeholders.
  • Support projects from conceptual development through implementation and start of commercial operation.
  • Participate in the development of automation solutions for full manufacturing operations.
  • Utilize experience with industry standards for process piping, equipment, and installation.
  • Apply strong understanding of automation control applications, instrumentation applications, and start-up/commissioning of systems.
  • Act with full responsibility for technical solution and quality aspects of project performance and food safety, aligning with customer needs.
  • Work in close cooperation with Plant Integration teams.
  • Collaborate with customers and colleagues in an international environment.
  • Develop regulatory experience/awareness with FDA and OHS.
  • Develop automation solutions for full manufacturing operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Food Science Engineering, Biochemical Engineering or related careers with focus in process design and projects implementation.
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of a 5-year degree.
  • Experience in food & dairy processes.
  • Proven process engineering experience ideally within the dairy or beverage industry, or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Minimum 7+ years of previous experience in food and plant engineering delivering process solutions.
  • Strong communication, planning and leadership skills.
  • Ability to solve problems consistently.
  • Ability to draw, read and understand a process and instrumentation diagram (PID).
  • Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD and drawing platforms are a must.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in commissioning, maintenance or start-ups as a plus.
  • Dairy, Carbonated Beverage and Powder Handling process design knowledge.
  • Functional Engineering Competence (pre-automation specs, programming and automations basics) as a strong plus.
  • Hexagon SSP, SAP and Microsoft Planview knowledge as a plus.
