Senior Display and Graphics Software Engineer needed for customer support on Qualcomm's embedded platforms, primarily Linux on Snapdragon. Responsibilities include debugging, customization, and training for display/graphics software stacks and hardware interfaces. Requires strong C/C++ skills and experience with device drivers.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Display/Graphics software support on Qualcomm’s embedded platforms.
  • Support Linux based software on Snapdragon platform.
  • Handle hardware interfaces, device drivers, Display and Graphics processors, kernel and high-level OS/framework.
  • Interface with QCT customers and internal teams.
  • Provide training to customers.
  • Debug features and support the device development process.

Requirements

  • Strong C/C++ programming skills (required).
  • Device driver programming and debugging with JTAG/other tools (required).
  • Understanding of display and graphics technologies, software stack, Linux kernel, Display/GPU processing etc.
  • Knowledge of microprocessor architecture and cache subsystem.
  • Strong Debugging skills on generic processors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
  • OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
  • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
  • Strong communication, written & interpersonal skills, high motivation, the ability to learn quickly.
  • Must be a self-starter.

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of OS/system performance profiling and optimization techniques a plus.
  • Strong team player.
