Responsibilities
- Act as the voice of the customer/partner, identifying and translating problems into industry solutions.
- Drive customer/partner experience through efficient delivery and seamless integration.
- Proactively identify, escalate, and mitigate blockers.
- Deliver solutions in line with company methodologies, ensuring proven practices and patterns are followed.
- Identify new opportunities for Consumption, Usage & Unified expansion.
- Operate according to operational excellence and proven practice standards throughout all sales stages.
- Leverage market insights and demand signals.
- Contribute to leading virtual teams using knowledge of Microsoft architectures.
- Proactively identify gaps that enable solutions to scale across customers.
- Collaborate across Microsoft and customer/partner teams to achieve objectives and increase satisfaction.
- Manage business and technical risks, adapting methodology and applying governance principles.
- Execute work in compliance with industry and Microsoft guidelines and procedures.
- Prioritize among competing demands and identify where impact occurs with customers.
- Prepare customers for operational readiness and achievement of business goals.
- Help customers deploy for long-term organizational adoption to increase satisfaction and drive consumption/usage.
- Guide customers/partners towards well-architected, cost- and performance-optimized solutions.
- Provide feedback to Unified Delivery Team on VBDs to refine content.
- Identify and evaluate industry trends and gather customer/partner insights.
- Map existing architecture and digital transformation solutions to customer/partner business outcomes.
- Capture opportunities in appropriate systems, processes, and tools.
- Escalate and mitigate blockers to accelerate solution deployment, value realization, and usage/consumption.
- Apply business, technical, industry, and/or enterprise knowledge to meet requirements and resolve constraints.
- Share ideas, feedback, insights, success stories and strategic/technical input with Engineering and Product Offerings teams.
- Identify patterns of feedback across customers/partners/territories/industries and leverage them for strategic insights.
- Present business cases to influence product roadmaps, decision making, and bug fix prioritization.
- Explain how solutions meet customer/partner outcomes and ROI goals.
- Build relationships with Technical Decision Makers (TDMs) and bridge understanding between TDMs and Business Decision Makers (BDMs).
- Interact with CIO, CISO and other C-level roles to bridge understanding of security, compliance, operational and risk requirements.
- Anticipate and address customer/partner dissatisfaction and unmet needs.
- Execute strategies to improve customer experience, value realization, and acceleration of transformation.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities aligning with revenue goals, orchestrating pipeline growth with partners.
- Provide assistance with partners and sales teams for proof of concept and technical pre-sales support.
- Understand solution area-specific market opportunities and collaborate with GPS stakeholders.
- Guide and support partners in developing repeatable offerings, practices, products, and solutions.
- Advise partners throughout initial strategic customer implementations.
- Assist leadership in identifying relevant areas for up-skilling and accreditations.
- Role model technical readiness, both depth-aligned and breadth-aligned.
- Act as a mentor, leading readiness and upskilling activities.
- Educate colleagues on technical and non-technical concepts and share proven practices.
- Contribute to leading virtual teams around technologies and customer/partner challenges.
- Share ideas, insights, and strategic, technical input with technical teams and internal communities.
- Demonstrate strong industry knowledge and increase recognition for Microsoft solutions.
- Contribute to intellectual property (IP) and identify patterns for scalable models (e.g., CoPilot and AI scenarios).
- Participate in external technical and non-technical community events to elevate the Microsoft brand.
- Share learnings across internal teams.
- Identify gaps through delivery, communicate them to stakeholders, and connect gaps/patterns across business and technology areas.
- Drive changes and improvements to products, IP, technologies, and/or processes/practices.
- Contribute to the development and modification of Microsoft's structured frameworks and methodologies.
- Provide thought leadership and innovation to customers/partners and internal communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
- Must have an active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
- Must pass Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Verification of U.S. citizenship is required due to citizenship-based legal restrictions supporting United States federal, state, and/or local government agencies.
- Clearance verification information must be provided prior to an offer of employment.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 6+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
- 4+ years experience working on technical projects.
- Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).
