Autoliv is seeking a Segment Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure high-quality automotive components from external suppliers. This role involves managing supplier quality processes from pre-qualification to launch, including APQP, PPAP, and audits, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and experience in automotive quality standards are required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead supplier quality activities for new product development and launch programs.
  • Manage APQP and PPAP processes to ensure supplier readiness and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, and suppliers on feasibility reviews, quality planning, and component approvals.
  • Monitor supplier performance, project milestones, and quality deliverables to meet launch timing requirements.
  • Conduct supplier audits, production trials, Run-at-Rate events, and process assessments.
  • Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and resolution of supplier quality issues through 8D methodology.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, supplier requirements, and documentation processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, supplier development, and lessons learned implementation.
  • Act as the primary quality contact for suppliers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Travel to supplier locations as needed to support project and quality activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
  • Automotive industry and/or engineering experience.
  • Experience in deployment and/or auditing of APQP, PPAP, 8D, FMEA, SPC, VDA
  • Knowledgeable in IATF 16949 / VDA and ISO 14001 requirements
  • Experience in managing projects
  • Excels at oral and written communication skills
