IKEA is seeking a Sustainability Developer in Bengaluru, India, to integrate sustainability into business operations and stakeholder development. Responsibilities

  • Secure collection, verification, aggregation, and reporting of sustainability data.
  • Set priorities and goals with Business teams to execute sustainability actions.
  • Support suppliers in identifying new sustainability-related business opportunities.
  • Ensure the IKEA sustainability agenda is integrated into business and stakeholder development.
  • Work closely with various stakeholders in the supply chain.

Requirements

  • University degree in sustainability, engineering, or equivalent education.
  • Good understanding of sustainability trends globally and locally.
  • Experience in collecting, calculating, analysing, verifying, and reporting environmental and climate-related data.
  • Good understanding of relevant sustainability metrics and their business impact.
  • Ability to understand IKEA IWAY and conduct verification activities.
  • Experience working with ESF Governance (environmental, social & corporate framework).
  • Good knowledge of project management tools and methodology.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.

  • Understanding of different industrial setups, market-specific and macro-economic conditions.
  • Experience in creating, leading, and executing sustainable business projects.
  • Driven by the desire to find new sustainable business opportunities and make them happen.
  • Ability to find synergies within different supply chains.
