Responsibilities

  • Manage technology development activities in control systems for surface drilling equipment.
  • Drive continuous cost, quality, and manufacturability improvement for existing products.
  • Work with product management to define scope and specifications for products in NPD projects.
  • Manage SW release process and align with product releases.
  • Deliver concepts for NPD projects and support design implementation.
  • Work in close cooperation with internal and external partners.
  • Coach and develop the development team.
  • Map out and execute technology roadmaps in areas such as drill rig control systems, automation, electrification, and digitalization.
  • Ensure onboard automation and telemetry development.
  • Oversee software testing.

Requirements

  • Relevant technical education.
  • Several years of work experience in a related industry.
  • Experience in leading teams in heavy machinery or its subsystem development.
  • Fluent communication skills in Finnish and English.
  • Proactive and systematic way of working.
  • Excellent skills in problem-solving.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a multicultural project environment.
  • Capability to lead the development team to meet challenging targets and deadlines.
