Amazon Music is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join their Visual experience team in Bengaluru, India. This full-time, on-site role involves debugging and maintaining automation scripts, writing test cases, reproducing defects, and collaborating with developers to ensure software quality for the Amazon Music platform.

Responsibilities

  • Debug, troubleshoot, and maintain automation scripts by fixing stability issues.
  • Write high-quality, high-value, and maintainable test cases.
  • Reproduce product defects and script failures to assist developers or other testers.
  • Identify, track, and accurately report defects.
  • Create automation scripts for low-complexity test cases based on feasibility analysis.
  • Acquire knowledge of features and detailed functional requirements to execute assigned tests.
  • Identify gaps in test plans and test coverage.
  • Perform Black Box testing.
  • Write test cases for new features and modify/maintain existing ones.
  • Understand and apply QA procedures, guidelines, and policies for newly launched features.
  • Use software tools for QA, fix-up, and data capture daily.
  • Proactively identify issues, perform deep dives, troubleshoot, communicate with stakeholders, escalate issues, and provide status reports.
  • Work in a highly charged environment.

Requirements

  • 6+ months of non-internship professional software development testing experience.
  • Experience scripting for automation (e.g., Python, Perl, Ruby).

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in API testing.
  • Experience in Mobile testing.
  • Good knowledge in language, vocabulary, grammar, and contextual information.
  • Ability to deep dive on applications, compare features between various versions, and identify changes within versions.
