We are seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Manager to lead a team, develop efficient sourcing procedures, and manage supplier relationships to achieve cost reduction targets. Responsibilities
- Develop team core competencies and guide members on business practices and KPIs.
- Continuously improve sourcing control procedures based on business changes and company strategy.
- Monitor and control the entire Purchase-to-Pay process.
- Develop suitable suppliers in collaboration with stakeholders to support new market applications.
- Monitor supplier performance using SAP and BW, manage quality defects and delivery delays.
- Improve supplier efficiency and quality in coordination with the SQA team.
- Develop new suppliers for new product applications and core localization with marketing, engineering, and quality teams.
- Achieve material Pre-post targets by working with application teams, project teams, cost controllers, and SQA.
- Ensure on-time supplier delivery by monitoring order status and expediting materials.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities by challenging traditional working processes.
- Build efficient inventory levels in collaboration with warehouse material planners.
- Optimize payment terms by negotiating with suppliers according to company policy.
- Manage and control supplier commitment/inventory based on project status.
- Support GAP division sourcing activities in China (supplier development, delivery, negotiation).
- Benchmark with other GAP entities.
- Undertake other assignments from the Supply Chain Manager.
Requirements
- Highly motivated, able to multi-task, set priorities, and goal-oriented.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor degree of engineering or commerce.
- Strong negotiation skills in procurement area.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- At least 5 years’ experience in sourcing position.
- 1 or 2 years sourcing managerial experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP R/3, Office 365, B/W tools.
- Fluent English in spoken and writing.
