Alfa Laval is seeking a Project Manager for Separation Technologies in São Paulo, Brazil, to manage and execute customer projects within the Food & Pharma industries. Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary focal point and trusted partner for the customer during the execution phase.
  • Ensure the correct delivery of all projects sold by the Capital Sales team, manage contract expectations, and drive a superior customer experience.
  • Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing the project, ensuring all technical and commercial contract requirements are strictly met.
  • Monitor progress and performance against the project plan, rigorously manage the project budget and financials, controlling costs and optimizing margins.
  • Take proactive action to resolve operational problems, mitigate risks, and minimize delays.
  • Identify, develop, and gather the resources necessary to complete the project, liaising with other operational areas.
  • Select and manage the activities of outside contractors.
  • Supervise projects on-site and participate in commissioning and start-up phases.
  • Manage troubleshooting and provide technical support during the warranty period.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Mechatronics, or related fields).
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of solid experience in project management, with a proven track record bridging technical field execution and financial/contractual management, preferably dealing with capital equipment, industrial plants, or turnkey solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, contract clauses, and direct customer negotiations during the execution phase.
  • Proven experience in the Food & Beverage industry is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Separation Equipment (Centrifuges, Decanters, Membrane Systems) is a strong advantage.
  • Previous hands-on experience with site supervision, contractor management, and commissioning/start-up routines.
  • Native or Fluent Portuguese.
  • Advanced or Fluent English (mandatory for global interactions).
