Project Manager needed in Aalborg to manage a portfolio of small to mid-size Aftersales and New Build projects. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing projects, acting as a key liaison between customers and internal teams, and ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of small to mid-size Aftersales and New Build projects from order handover through delivery, invoicing, and closure.
- Coordinate approximately 30 concurrent projects, ensuring clear progress across planning, procurement, documentation, logistics, customer communication, and final delivery.
- Own project planning and follow-up, including schedules, milestones, action lists, risks, dependencies, and required stakeholder inputs.
- Ensure projects are delivered according to agreed scope, timeline, budget, quality requirements, and customer expectations.
- Act as the main coordination point between customers and internal stakeholders, including sales, engineering, procurement, logistics, service, finance, and suppliers.
- Monitor project financial performance, including cost follow-up, margin awareness, change impacts, and timely invoicing according to agreed milestones.
- Identify, escalate, and resolve project risks, delays, scope changes, and delivery issues before they negatively affect the customer or business.
- Manage customer communication proactively and professionally, providing updates, clarifying requirements, and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with internal processes, procedures, documentation standards, and project governance requirements.
- Maintain accurate project data in relevant systems, including ERP, CRM, and project management tools, to support transparency, reporting, and project control.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical field — or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience from project management, project coordination, technical sales support, service project execution, marine engineering, shipbuilding, or a similar technical industry.
- Technical understanding of marine, mechanical, process, or industrial equipment.
- Experience working with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders in a project-driven environment.
- Good commercial understanding, including cost follow-up, budget awareness, delivery commitments, and invoicing milestones.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience working with ERP, CRM, or project management systems.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Desired Qualifications
- Practical experience from vessels, shipyards, marine service, offshore, or shipbuilding environments.
- Experience with Aftersales, service projects, retrofit projects, spare parts projects, or capital equipment deliveries.
- Understanding of logistics, procurement, technical documentation, commissioning, or marine customer requirements.
- Experience working in a global organization with cross-border stakeholders.
