We are seeking a Project Engineer in Shanghai to manage and deliver projects within agreed margins, timelines, and quality standards, focusing on FCM/HSS modules for ship new building applications. The role involves technical documentation, customer communication, and collaboration with internal teams and marine classes.
Responsibilities
- Manage projects of standard and non-standard FCM/HSS module area for ship new building application.
- Issue PR for module components and create Approval/Working drawings (mechanical + electrical).
- Control project margin within budget.
- Communicate with internal/external customers to coordinate project issues.
- Provide feedback to Product Manager on FCM/HSS product improvement.
- Communicate with CLASS regarding module drawings and site inspections.
- Deliver projects on specification, on time, and on cost.
- Support claim handling and sales with drawings and quotations.
- Clarify technical aspects with the Central product center for customized modules.
- Standardize module workshop manufacturing technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering; marine engine is a plus.
- Background and insight in Marine products; knowledge of Alfa Laval products is a plus.
- Experience with module design/manufacturing is a plus.
- Familiarity with marine Class regulations.
- Project management experience.
- Quality sense.
- 6+ years of working experience, with marine experience being a plus.
- Experience in coordination and planning of projects.
- Problem-solving and target-oriented approach.
- Leadership and project management skills.
- Good communication, negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- Project engineering experience.
- Learning ability.
