We are seeking a motivated Sales Professional to join our North America sales team as a Professional Tool Specialist. This role involves selling, promoting, and demonstrating RIDGID & Greenlee tools and equipment to end-users in the electrical, mechanical, utility, and plumbing segments, fostering strong customer relationships and articulating the company's value proposition.

Responsibilities

  • Directly promote the entire RIDGID/Greenlee product line to end-users in Electrical, Mechanical, Utility, Plumbing, and Industrial segments.
  • Develop relationships with customers at all levels, including electricians, plumbers, foremen, superintendents, safety directors, and purchasing agents.
  • Conduct training for apprentices and journeymen at local union and non-union training centers.
  • Communicate and demonstrate the value proposition of Faster-Safer-Easier tools.
  • Develop and execute plans to get RIDGID/Greenlee products specified and standardized at key end-user customers.
  • Report progress of demonstrations, trainings, and opportunities using a 360 data capture application.
  • Work with Product Managers on leads generated from large construction and utility firms.
  • Support multiple territories and channels, following up on pre-qualified leads.
  • Foster relationships with other team members, end-user customers, and distribution partners.
  • Convey competitive threats and market trends to the sales team.
  • Understand customer needs and articulate solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience with tool applications.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical, utility, or plumbing tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to synthesize information into a clear and concise summary.
  • Good organizational skills, strong analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven track record of achieving goals and sales targets.
  • Strong time and territory management skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50%, including overnight stays.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and comply with company driving policies.
  • Safely lift, carry, and maneuver various industrial tools and product inventory for demonstrations and trade shows.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States (sponsorship is not available).

Desired Qualifications

  • Proficiency in MS Outlook.
  • CRM Application experience is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, or other Pipe Trades.
  • Experience with distribution channels, with emphasis on industrial, plumbing, and electrical channels.
  • Sales experience.
