Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor automated and semi-automated Press Line equipment.
- Perform advanced machine setup, changeovers, and calibrations.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues.
- Lead quality assurance efforts to ensure products meet all specifications.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
- Train, coach, and mentor lower-level operators.
- Review production documentation and ensure accurate completion of logs.
- Enforce safety policies and participate in safety audits.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and supervision teams on projects.
- Serve as acting lead or backup supervisor when assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
- Significant experience operating Press Line or similar production equipment.
- Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and safety standards.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex equipment and process issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer skills (production systems, data entry, email).
- Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement training.
- Forklift or industrial equipment certification.
