Volvo Financial Services is seeking a Paralegal Intern for a 12-month placement in Warwick, GB. This role is for students between their 2nd and 3rd study years, offering hands-on legal and business experience within the Legal & Compliance team. The intern will review contracts, draft policies, conduct legal research, and support the team.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and updating contractual templates to reflect changes in legislation.
- Identifying and implementing changes to business processes in response to regulatory change.
- Drafting internal policy documentation, briefing notes, and training materials.
- Participation in additional stand-alone team projects.
- Providing general assistance to other members of the legal team.
- Conducting legal research and presenting findings clearly and concisely.
Requirements
- 2 years completed – Placement between 2nd & 3rd study years.
- Studying for a qualifying law degree (LLB).
- Academic grades on track for a first or 2:1 in your chosen studies.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Motivated and willing to learn, develop, and contribute quickly, demonstrating independence in your work.
- Confident with the ability to communicate across all levels of the business.
- A strong interest in how an in-house legal function operates in the business sector.
- We can’t accept those who have completed their degree.
