Alfa Laval, India is seeking an Order Handler for their Service Operation team to play a critical role in the ONE ERP project, focusing on designing the Order to Cash processes for Service Management. The role involves detailed process mapping, system integration support, and ensuring data integrity within the new ERP system.

Responsibilities

  • Detailed review and cleansing of existing master data.
  • Mapping of existing processes from order to cash for Service orders.
  • Support integration of existing system tools with ERP.
  • Design ERP process for order processing, pricing, discounts, taxes, and contract terms.
  • Design process for Customer account creation.
  • Execute cutover order migration tasks and reconcile records.
  • Participate in go-live to process orders and monitor queues.
  • Execute test scripts (unit, integration, UAT) for order-related scenarios.
  • Verify end-to-end order flows.
  • Investigate and resolve order exceptions.
  • Validate key master data used by orders and report discrepancies.
  • Perform periodic reconciliations between legacy systems, spreadsheets, and the ERP.
  • Work closely with Sales, Service, Operations, Finance and IT to resolve order-related gaps.
  • Provide clear status updates to the rollout team.
  • Contribute to cutover runbooks and SOPs.
  • Document order processing procedures and guides.
  • Train end users on order-entry best practices.
  • Enter and validate customer/sales/service orders in the new ERP.

Requirements

  • Diploma/graduate degree (Engineering & Commerce) with an exemplary track record.
  • Knowledge of Purchase order / Contract’s commercial terms and conditions.
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in order processing, order management, or order-to-cash roles.
  • ERP exposure mandatory (MOVEX, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or similar preferred).
  • Proven participation in ERP implementations, cutovers, or major system upgrades is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable using ERPs, order-entry screens, spreadsheets, and basic SQL or data-query tools.
  • Strong understanding of order-to-cash processes.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing SLAs.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional implementation teams and IT.
