We are seeking an Order Engineer to join our Richmond, VA office to support the project order process for Gasketed Plate Heat Exchanger (GPHE) projects. Responsibilities include preparing customer documentation, coordinating modifications, and managing projects through manufacturing and assembly. A Bachelor's degree in engineering with relevant experience is required.

Responsibilities

  • Support the project order process and manage medium- and high-complexity GPHE projects.
  • Prepare high-quality, cost-effective customer documentation and coordinate customer-specific modifications.
  • Plan and execute projects throughout the manufacturing and assembly process.
  • Receive and register orders in various systems (ERP, Project management system).
  • Produce and update documents for ongoing projects and interact with customers via customer portals.
  • Communicate project progress to the team and stakeholders.
  • Develop documentation templates.
  • Participate in customer inspections.
  • Review Design to Order (DTO) and Engineer to Order (ETO) and register them in ERP.
  • Be part of the project management team and ensure high-quality project execution.
  • Engage in safety and quality work, and participate in problem-solving and improvement activities.
  • Suggest improvements on Instructions / SOPs and identify opportunities for waste elimination.
  • Take responsibility for personal development and staying informed.
  • Handle customer quotes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with relevant work experience.
  • Willingness to manage projects with competing priorities.
  • Strong communication skills and experience participating in technical projects.
  • Experienced user of Microsoft D365.
  • High knowledge of Word templates and complex structures in Excel.
  • Experience working in an ERP system.
  • Experience with continuous improvement according to ALPS, Lean Six Sigma.

Desired Qualifications

  • Candidates residing in the US or having an established presence in the area are prioritized.
  • Experience with Pymetrics assessments upon application.
