Red Bee Media is seeking a Media Management Operator to manage daily content acquisition and media management, including MAM workflows, Content QC, and client interaction. This entry-level role is based in London and offers a career in the broadcasting industry.

Responsibilities

  • Recording, ingesting, and managing media for Playout, Compliance, Access Services, VOD, and other clients.
  • Ensuring ingested media is ready for playout and maintains original technical quality.
  • Correctly ingesting associated media (metadata) such as subtitles, separate audio sources, and in-vision sign language onto the server.
  • Checking Outside Source (OS) availability and recording live incoming material for later playout.
  • Quality checking material and reporting faults according to specific client guidelines.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues and escalating faults to relevant teams.

Requirements

  • Highly adaptable to last-minute changes and customer nuances in a critical Broadcast team.
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly.
  • Good decision-making skills under pressure, especially when dealing with imminent transmissions.
  • Clear and positive communication skills for liaising with other teams, customers, and engineers.
  • High level of accuracy in spotting quality control issues with media and handling line bookings and recording schedules.
