Edwards Korea is seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to identify and develop advanced manufacturing technologies like industrial automation and robotics. This role involves leading technology readiness assessments and automation projects from concept to deployment, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, assess, and develop advanced manufacturing technologies (industrial automation, robotics, machine vision, digital manufacturing, additive manufacturing, data analytics).
  • Lead Technology Readiness Level assessments and manage technologies from concept to pilot validation and industrial deployment.
  • Lead automation projects and new machinery from requirement definition to production stabilization.
  • Develop and implement digital manufacturing solutions to improve process visibility, data accuracy, traceability, equipment utilization, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Deliver measurable improvements in manufacturing performance (reduce cycle time, waste, manual handling, process variation, cost; improve OEE, labor productivity, quality, equipment utilization).
  • Develop and maintain a multi-year advanced manufacturing technology roadmap aligned with business priorities.
  • Collaborate with NPI ME, Operations ME, Production, Quality, EHS, IT, Procurement, Product Development teams, suppliers, and technology partners.
  • Establish engineering standards, technical specifications, validation criteria, lessons learned, and best practices for advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to engineers.

Requirements

  • Experience in advanced manufacturing technologies such as industrial automation, robotics, machine vision, digital manufacturing, additive manufacturing, and data analytics.
  • Experience leading Technology Readiness Level assessments.
  • Experience managing technologies from concept through pilot validation and industrial deployment.
  • Experience leading automation projects and new machinery from requirement definition to production stabilization.
  • Experience developing and implementing digital manufacturing solutions.
  • Proven ability to deliver measurable improvements in manufacturing performance.
  • Experience developing and maintaining a multi-year advanced manufacturing technology roadmap.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (NPI ME, Operations ME, Production, Quality, EHS, IT, Procurement, Product Development) and external partners (suppliers, technology partners).
  • Experience establishing engineering standards, technical specifications, validation criteria, lessons learned, and best practices.
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and coaching.
