Emerson is seeking a Material Handler III for their Olive Branch, MS distribution center. This full-time, on-site role involves operating powered equipment like reach trucks and pallet jacks for stocking, replenishing, and picking orders. The position requires a High School diploma, 6 months of warehouse experience, and forklift operation skills, with a strong emphasis on safety and productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Move product within the warehouse using motorized equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, order selectors, reach lifts).
  • Stock incoming items, replenish flow racks, and pick orders using RF equipment.
  • Create cartons and labels prior to shipping.
  • Maintain productivity minimum standards with a sense of urgency.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Replenish orders as necessary to support operations.
  • Supply cardboard boxes and bags for departments.
  • Maintain safe actions on and off equipment in compliance with safety rules/regulations.
  • Meet department quality, attendance, and productivity requirements.
  • Perform necessary housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 6 months previous warehouse experience.
  • Previous reach lift experience.
  • Previous shipping/receiving/material handling experience.
  • Ability to operate forklift in a safe manner.
  • Able to lift parts weighing more than 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in bending, squatting, and standing positions for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to work quickly meeting productivity and quality standards.
  • Must pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts.
  • Must pass a non-DOT physical exam.
  • Ability to work overtime when necessary.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous RF equipment experience to move product.
  • Strong team work skills with a proven track record to collaborate in fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Hands-on experience and ability to cross-functionally work in different areas.
